New York transplant Michael Schaeffer uses art to tear down the status quo. His work is anything but a drag.

4. It's your day off -- what are you up to? Hanging out with the family; hitting up Crystal Hill Antique Mall and Blue Suede Shoes Antique Mall.

5. Who is the most interesting person you've met in/around LR? Most incredible would be Malissa Calaway. Most interesting...that is much harder to answer, there are a lot.

Michael’s current exhibition, The Thrill of It All, opens February 3, at the Thea Foundation. The $10 door cover includes heavy hors d’oeuvres by Ben E. Keith, an open beer and wine bar, and the chance to win an original work by Shaeffer. His work will be on display through the month of February. The Thea Foundation is located at 401 Main Street in North Little Rock. Gallery hours are M - F, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., 1 - 5 p.m. More info.
