115: Meet Kevin Delaney

If you haven't heard the name Kevin Delaney yet, you soon will. The GM of the Science Channel calls him a Science Magician. Jimmy Fallen calls him Buddy. But, here in Little Rock, we get to call him a local.

1. Name, occupation, years in greater LR, neighborhood:  I’m Kevin Delaney, a science presenter at the Museum of Discovery. I’ve lived in Little Rock for 5 years in Capitol View/Stifft’s Station.

2. What do you love most about your job? I love the opportunity to share my love of science and learning with people everywhere.

3. What is, hands down, your favorite meal out in/around LR? All of the sandwiches at the dearly departed Hillcrest Artisan Meats were always delicious, but if you were lucky enough to get there in time to get a hamburger on hamburger day—oh man. We’ll miss you, H.A.M.!

4. What has surprised you the most about living here? It’s not that surprising, but the continuing encouragement and support I’ve received from the people of Little Rock is amazing. I love Little Rock!

5. What are some of your favorite annual events in/around LR? Two events in town that I always look forward to are the Arkansas Literary Festival and Tinkerfest.

Check out Kevin tonight at 9 p.m. on the Science Channel as he takes to the big screen as the star of the new show, Street Science.
